1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham

Shockingly expensive for the time at $13,000, the 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham was designed to compete with the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud. It featured pillarless doors, a brushed stainless steel roof and bullet-shaped 'Dagmars' in the bumpers - named after a buxom actress of the time. The Brougham's 21st-century features included cruise control, a 'memory' seat, a powered truck lid, dual-zone air conditioning, air suspension and electronic windows all round. Its V8 engine produced 325hp.
The third generation car included an all-transistor signal-seeking radio, a first. Cadillac assembled a total of 400 Broughams for 1957, with an additional 304 built for 1958.
Underappreciated for decades, low mileage original Broughams in superb condition can now exceed $ 140,000
